Most transit damage comes down to two things: items knocking against each other, and items rattling around in an over-sized box. Protective packaging solves both — a cushioning layer around each item, and something to fill the gaps so nothing shifts. We stock the full range from our Chichester depot, the same materials we use to move furniture and fragile loads every day.
Our most popular protection, on 100m rolls in 300mm and 500mm widths. Small-bubble general-purpose wrap is ideal for wrapping individual items — glasses, frames, electronics, ornaments — before they go in the box. The 500mm roll suits larger or awkward items; the 300mm roll is easier to handle for smaller jobs and gift-sized parcels.
"Void fill" simply means filling the empty space in a packed box so the contents can't move. Once your items are wrapped, scrunched bubble wrap is an excellent, reusable void fill — pack it into the gaps at the sides, top and bottom until nothing rattles when you give the box a gentle shake. For heavier or irregular loads, choosing a box that fits the contents closely is the simplest way to cut down on void fill in the first place. Bubble-lined mailers in two sizes (220 × 265mm and 240 × 320mm) for posting smaller items without a box — books, cosmetics, accessories, spare parts. Lightweight, so they keep postage costs down, with built-in cushioning.
For bigger jobs: heavy removal blankets protect furniture, worktops and appliances against scuffs and knocks during a move; the 3-seater sofa cover keeps upholstery clean and dry in storage or transit; and pallet wrap (supplied with a dispenser) binds boxes to a pallet and keeps loads together and weatherproof.
